omfg, the solution

In salmon flavor. I thought Evil Kitty would be too smart to fall for this, but these things must taste like the cat equivilent of a 5 star gourmet dinner. I did not get bitten or peed on today. There was no trauma. Holy crap.

Ha! We use Greenies as extortion payments to get Spike back indoors. I never thought of that.

I'm telling you, Greenies are kitty crack. I don't know what it is about them, but based on my (limited) observations there's nothing better in the entire world, even if they're surrounding some evil pill.

Though I will point out that a certain kitty was making great athletic leaps yesterday in an attempt to reach a bagel covered with (some pretty amazingly good) goat cheese. Obviously a tunie. But you could always try goat cheese next.

Will have to remember these when I start giving meds at the cat shelter. (I recently started volunteering at a local no-kill shelter)

I had great success when using them to give dogs pills, but cant recall ever trying them with a cat. The dogs loved them, but- they *are* dogs ;-)

Sydney (Sidney?) likes goat cheese? How effete. ;-)

Honestly, I dunno what they put in those Greenies, but damn.

It's Sidney, and I was sure you'd be very amused by his desire for goat cheese. Which given the amount of climbing he did is even stronger than his desire for lox cream cheese, and believe me that desire is mighty strong (would be even stronger if there were a tuna cream cheese, I suspect).

I mean, he got on the top of a very narrow back of a chair and then leapt to the back of a dresser that had a very small landing space, and was disappointed that the goat cheese had disappeared around a corner that he couldn't really reach without being able to make a 180 degree blind leap... but he really, really thought about it for a long time before giving up.
