Since the Red Sox are obviously going to fill us with nothing but disgust this year, can I interest you in becoming a Rockies fan with me? I've never rooted for an NL team before. It's gonna be an experience. :-)
I'm a Braves fan with little hope: it's in the gene pool. Anyway, everyone should follow a NL team. It's instructive to watch these guys play BASEBALL, instead of whatever the hell it is the AL does these days. (And no, I have never accepted the DH rule.) Old Faht signing off.
I went out and started doing yardwork in the second inning. If doing yardwork is infinitely more compelling than watching a Sox game, there's a problem.
I mean srsly, the team stinks this year. Where is all the vaunted "run prevention" that we supposedly value over hitting and character. Then again, where is any hitting, character, ability to come from behind, or starting pitching?
At least tickets might be lot easier to come by this season.
Speaking of defense and hitting, Alex Gonzalez is hitting .309 with 4 home runs. Glad he's not polluting our infield with all his spectacular defense anymore.

Looks good on your fantasy roster, yes he does!
Now all you need to do is find another couple like that, and you'll OWN the league. (First clue: James Shields is not one of your best bets).
I'm looking forward to Ubaldo turning Coors into a "pitchers park".
Hey, that asshole Shields did get me a win.
