Before I totally turn off the non-Red Sox fans in the crowd. Did you *see* Julie as the DH yesterday? Bold move on Tito's part, considering he can't, y'know, hit. But perhaps the lack of pressure from not having to worry about E6 was just what Julie needed, because he done good. (Or maybe it's just the blind monkeys in the locked room full of typewriters producing Macbeth thang...eventually anything can and will happen, right? Even Julie can get a few productive hits.)
And MISTER Jason Bay with 5 RBIs in one inning. So much love. He's the kind of Canadian that makes one forgive them Celine Dion and Rush.

Celine Dion is a Quebecker, making her hardly Canadian at all, and Rush is from the Toronto area, which is hardly more so, while Jason Bay, like Milan Lucic, is from British Columbia, where they often observe, as they do in Alberta and elsewhere across the plains, that little good comes out of the East of Canada besides the sun. (With the notable exception of Bobby Orr, but Parry Sound is hardly anywhere at all, when you think about it).
I think keeping Julie off the field was a brilliant move by the Franconaman, and you know it's gonna wake Papi up BIG TIME when he figures out he's replaceable by a hacker like E6.
Though, before we get too carried away, we can realize that every single guy in the lineup got at least a hit and a run in that inning, which I'm thinking is probably a record, if anyone is keeping track of that sort of thing. Amazing to watch for sure, and ten times the degree of difficulty when you figure Nancy was in the middle there, too.
Mea culpa... Mikey Lowell and Nancy didn't get hits--Mike was intentionally walked to get to Rocco and, as is often his preference, Nancy's bat never left his shoulder. But every one of the nine scored in the same inning, and that's gotta be pretty rare. (Though I think I remember the Sox got 10 runs before their first out in a game a few years ago, too, so it's not unheard-of).
One of my favorite lines from the South Park movie:
"But Mister Minister, this is not the first troublesome thing to come out of Canada: let us not forget Bryan Adams."
"No, no, the Canadian government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions!"
MISTER Jason "three run home run every freakin game" Bay makes one forgive Canada even Bryan Adams.
