breaking red sox news

Apparently JD Drew reads Mr Barma's blog and was so upset at being referred to as "Nancy" that he stopped killing rallies, and instead stepped up his game to hitting three run home runs instead. And though Timmy W did not get the nono, he was a light at the end of the bad pitching tunnel.

So, I am somewhat pacified.

Hey, if our best pitcher can't hit 70 MPH and is almost ready for Social Security, I think we've got bigger problems then David Ortiz slowly turning into Julio Lugo... with a worse batting average.

Hush. Big Papi did just fine today.

And Timmy W is FIVE YEARS younger than you. Are you ready for social security, wise guy? Stop raining on my parade!

Hey, if I'd been getting a big league salary for the past 20 years, I'd have long since retired to a beach full of palm trees and hot and cold running strippers.

Time for Wake to stop embarrassing his baseball brothers with that pussy stuff he keeps flutterling towards the plate, and give up his place in the roster for someone who's younger, hungrier, and cheaper. Isn't that what the MLB early retirement program is all about?

They've been promising Masterson he could start as soon a spot in the rotation opened up. If I were Wakefield I wouldn't be buying any green bananas, know what I'm sayin'?

P.S. Big Papi got his first extra base hit of the season. Now that's scary. Maybe he lost too much weight in the off-season? Got no oomph in his stroke anymore?

The pussy stuff just got him a win and a complete game, sooo?

In WWII, the Nazis wet themselves laughing at the British biplane torpedo bombers...until they discovered the planes were so slow they couldn't shoot them down. That is a lot like Wakefield's pitching.

Let's call a spade a spade--Wake was cruising to a no hitter (his perfect game bid being derailed by Lowell's error, which is excusable because Mikey had hit the dinger to give him the 2-0 lead) until JD bone-headedly prolonged the bottom of the 7th inning with his 3 run shot so that Wake had to sit a full 25 minutes between innings and lose both his mojo and rhythm from sitting too long, and, thus, ultimately, his no-no.

Only a nancy boy does that. ;-)

I *knew* Mr Barma was gonna say that!
