it's a shocking travesty

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8236384.stm

My bulgy Polish catcher's thighs are *5 cm* not bulgy enough. That's got to be wrong. If anyone should qualify for the health benefits of thigh fat, it should fucking be me.

Well, at least I remain convinced that I could still block the plate if I needed to.

Also? I'm gonna eat the cookie that's next to my mousepad right now, because very little bit helps.

xoxo

Apparently I'm more pear-shaped than one might think just looking at me--mine measure 58cm's of stunning insulin health--which I'm sure has nothing at all to do with my being 6'2" as opposed to 5'2".

You read it here first--my secret, when they write that article about me when I turn 100, is beer.

My guess is more than anything else this has to do with them all being Danish, a people who are mostly unnaturally tall, unnaturally blonde, unnaturally thin, and unnaturally homogenous (especially genetically, I suspect, thus leading to the preceding and their thin thigh issues).

I usually find these pseudo-correlations in population studies most amusing.

The absence of any relativity to overall body mass is comical. I fancy I'm rather larger overall than you, Andrea, but my thigh index is barely 6 cm larger than the standard. This must mean that angina episode I had a few years ago was a collective hallucination.

And to think people get paid for coming up with this stuff.

Good to know, with all the stress Im having right now that my big thighs are gonna protect me from having a heart attack. Next time I can't breathe from anxiety and am thinking it's the big one, I will remember this story.

Sorry to hear about the anxiety :-(

But the next time you start thinking it's "the big one", just picture Fred Sanford saying that and maybe your hysterical giggles will stave off some of the anxiety :-)
