go hard or go home update
The backup (smaller) turkey breast has been roasted in the traditional manner and is ready for emergency usage if need be. Cranberry sauce is done and cooling. Cranberry cheddar is sliced. Cava and non-alcoholic beverages are chilling. Dining room table is set. Kitchen floor is scrubbed. The whole house is vacuumed. Guest bed is made up. Massage room is made up. Everything else is as clean as it's gonna get.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and D. And Evil Kitty too. Does she get special food on holidays? I used to buy the some sort of expensive wet food for my cat Tigger and that was his holiday meal. lol
I cooked a big pot of turkey soup and got some oraganic pumpkin pie at the local farmers market. Hope your turkey came out good :-)

Evil Kitty got turkey too. Which, can I just say, came out THE BALLS. Deep tried turkey, all y'all? So good. Moistest turkey I ever ate.
Was a little bit skeery lowering it into the hot oil. The oil starts hissing and bubbling up wildly and looking like it's gonna overflow, and then even when it's in there cooking and the cover's closed, the thing's making all kinds of alarming noises like it might blow any minute, haha. And cleaning it out later is a PITA. But it was all worth it. Delish!
